Questions You Are Probably Asking
If you do not see your question here, call us or ask when you book your consultation.
How do I know if I qualify for a GLP-1 program?
1
That is exactly what your first consultation is for. We will go over your health history, your current medications, and your goals, then tell you honestly whether a GLP-1 program makes sense for you. Generally, these medications are prescribed for adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related condition like high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes. They are not the right fit for everyone, including anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer, or anyone who is pregnant or planning to be.
Is there a contract or long-term commitment?
2
We will walk you through exactly how the program is set up at your consultation, before you commit to anything. No surprises, no fine print you find out about later.
Do you accept insurance?
3
Coverage varies, and compounded medications often are not covered by insurance. We will go over costs and payment options with you before you start, so there are no surprises.
I have tried a GLP-1 medication before and it did not work for me. Is this different?
4
We hear this a lot, and we will not promise you a miracle. Often the issue is not the medication itself. It is a dose that never got adjusted, side effects nobody helped you manage, or being left on your own after the prescription was written. Here, a real provider checks in on your progress, adjusts your plan as you go, and pairs your medication with nutrition guidance and B12 support. Bring your history to your consultation and we will look at what happened last time together.
What are the side effects?
5
The most common ones are stomach related: nausea, diarrhea, constipation, or feeling full quickly. For most people they are mild and ease up as your body adjusts, which is why we start with a low dose and increase it gradually. Less common but more serious risks exist too, and your provider will walk through all of them with you before you start, so you are never guessing. If something feels off, you call us. You are not doing this alone.
Do you offer hormone replacement therapy?
6
Yes, for women and men. If you are dealing with low energy, brain fog, poor sleep, or just do not feel like yourself anymore, book a hormone therapy consultation. We start with your labs, so your plan is based on what is actually going on.
